Living in Melbourne
Coming to Melbourne from Whyalla was a bit of a culture
shock, even for a twenty year old. I moved in to the
Elsternwick area and took root. However, I think it's fair
to say that I mostly worked in Melbourne. A bit of a
workaholic!
Though I did buy a Laser dinghy and sailed for a while from the
club at Black Rock. I also spent some rare time away from
work helping out with a local recording studio. But once I
found my way in to
gliding as my main interest/sport, Melbourne was where
I worked and Waikerie, South Australia was where I
played.
The introduction of Denice Cummings in to my life in 1986
changed many things, including a move to Kew, taking up horse
riding, and then having the house built
and moving to Glenaroua.
And so now I find myself living in the country and
commuting to Melbourne. I have a small, comfortable
mud-brick home in the Glenaroua area. I've been
resident here since Easter 1990. Time flies when you're
having fun!
